In one of many shocking Trump corruption schemes in recent months, Trump’s social media company announced it would offer a $100,000-a-month subscription for early access to the president’s Truth Social posts.
The Financial Times reported that Wall Street is unhappy with the proposal.
“It has also brought a slew of legal questions for Wall Street, as financial firms and their lawyers try to decipher the potential risks of paying for access to the president’s thoughts and views before anyone else. Multiple lawyers described the product as a legal minefield,” the FT post said.

“If I were the general counsel of any of these institutional investors, I would say, ‘Don’t even touch this unless Truth Social will guarantee there will be no advance notice of any posts that contain information about the actions of the United States government,’” Richard Painter, a former White House ethical adviser to George W. Bush, told FT.
The Daily Beast shared a CNN segment in which the offer was discussed, and a MAGA supporter offered a laughable defense of the scheme.
Pro-Trump guest Carla Sands accused Democrats of colluding with social media companies to censor and remove Trump near the end of his first term. Trump Media & Technology Group launched and Truth Social launched in the fall of 2021.
“He wouldn’t even have Truth Social if the Democrats hadn’t colluded with Big Tech and canceled him on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, every single platform he was taken down and banned while he was the sitting U.S. President,” Sands said.
Host Abby Philip responded.
“Wait. Hold on. Wait. Democrats colluded with social media companies when Trump was president to force them to-?…” she went on to note that Trump was removed from the then-Twitter, Facebook and Instagram followed the January 6 insurrection, in the closing days of his first term.
“OK, so Democrats have all kinds of extraordinary powers,” Philip added.
