WH Press Secretary Can’t Stop Mocking Biden — And It Keeps Blowing Up In Her Face

The irony writes itself.

Karoline Leavitt just can’t help herself. Every time she faces a microphone, the White House Press Secretary somehow finds a way to talk about Joe Biden. It is almost like a reflex at this point.

During a press briefing in March 2025, a reporter asked her when the Trump administration would stop blaming Biden for the economy. Leavitt smiled and said, “Well, we’ve only been here 52 days.” That short line got laughs from the MAGA crowd, but it also showed what would become her favorite habit, blaming Biden for everything.

Since that day, Leavitt has turned Biden’s name into her main talking point. In fact, she mentioned him more than fifty times in Trump’s first hundred days back in office.

Her jokes often find their way online. One of her standout moments came when she posted a clip of Air Force One’s stairs, writing, “These are the stairs Biden used to trip up,” followed by a smiling emoji. She seemed pretty proud of it. The internet laughed along for a moment, but as always, it had the final word.

A few months later, President Trump took a stumble on those very same stairs. Suddenly, the joke didn’t land quite the same. People unearthed her old post and turned it against her. The video spread fast again, but this time, Trump was the one everyone was laughing at.

Then came Biden’s cancer diagnosis in May. Many began to look back at Leavitt’s earlier jokes about his health and age. What once felt like a light jab now looked cruel and tasteless. But Leavitt didn’t slow down.

At another press conference in April, she tried to joke about Biden speaking at night, saying, “I thought his bedtime was earlier than this.” The room went silent. Only a few nervous chuckles. The joke fell flat and so did her confidence.

The truth is, Leavitt’s routine is beginning to collapse under its own irony. With Trump repeatedly caught on camera dozing through high level meetings, earning him the nickname “Dozy Don,” her jabs about Biden’s sleep habits now sound hollow.

Last year, before the 2024 debate, Leavitt tweeted, “What’s wrong with Joe Biden’s voice? Hasn’t he been hiding in the woods for a week?” It was supposed to be funny, but it made no sense. The only thing hiding was her timing.
