In recent weeks, Donald Trump has been acting very strangely about an MRI exam he received earlier this fall.
Trump revealed in late October that he had undergone an MRI earlier that month, but was light on details when it came to why he had it, what body part it was for, or what it found.
“It was perfect,” Trump told reporters at the time, without elaborating. “The doctor said [it] was some of the best reports, for the age, they’ve ever seen.”
This led to lots of speculation about what exactly was wrong, why Trump had mentioned the examination, or whether there might be some further health issue with the president.

The MRI question remained a mystery throughout November, with reporters occasionally asking Trump about it, while the president and his press secretary continued to offer no details. Over the holiday weekend, after the president unloaded on Gov. Tim Walz, the Minnesota governor declared, “Release the MRI results!”
And now, Trump has done just that.
Per the Daily Mail, the White House has, in fact, released Trump’s MRI results, at least in the form of a letter from a doctor.

“As part of President Donald J. Trump’s comprehensive executive physical, advanced imaging was performed because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health. The purpose of this imaging is preventive: to identify issues early, confirm overall health, and ensure he maintains long-term vitality and function,” US Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, the personal physician to the president, wrote in the letter.
“President Trump’s cardiovascular imaging is perfectly normal. There is no evidence of arterial narrowing impairing blood flow or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels. The heart chambers are normal in size, the vessel walls appear smooth and healthy, and there are no signs of inflammation, or clotting. Overall, his cardiovascular system shows excellent health.”
The summary, per the doctor, is that “This level of detailed assessment is standard for an executive physical at President Trump’s age and confirms that he remains in excellent overall health.”
