Scrutiny is growing around senior government officials by federal authorities over their seemingly unchecked behaviors and handling of government documents that are considered top-secret and/or classified. The original classified documents scandal was of course kicked off with scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump, after the DOJ and FBI were forced to essentially kick the doors in at the ex-president’s Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago compound to execute a search and seizure warrant raid, following more than a year of attempts by the Justice Department and the National Archives and Records Administration to retrieve literally hundreds upon hundreds of classified materials that Trump had stolen during his final days in office and brought with him to his golf resort turned post-White House residence, only for the government officials to repeatedly be met with lies, uncooperativeness, and deceit by Donald Trump and his team.
But since that notorious scandal broke, it has seemed to spread far and wide, with both current and former government officials, on both sides of the political fence.
Now, of course, no one has yet to live up to the infamous bad behavior that Donald Trump displayed and continues to display throughout his notorious stolen document scandal. However, it is becoming more and more clear with each passing day that the appropriate handling of classified materials isn’t shaping up to be something that most officials are taking as seriously as they should.
Among those who have now been tangled in the classified document web is Donald Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence.

We recently reported that, despite Pence’s repeated claims that he did not possess any classified materials in the wake of his former boss’ massive scandal, approximately a dozen documents bearing classified markings were, in fact, discovered at the ex-VP’s Indiana home.
Unlike his old boss, the documents found at Pence’s residence were immediately turned over to the FBI and the former VP has been cooperative with the review that’s been launched into the matter.
Now, the Wall Street Journal reports that the FBI is set to soon search the Pences’ Indiana home for any additional classified documents that may be there.
Sources spoke with the Journal and said that officials with the Department of Justice are currently in negotiations with the former vice president to determine an appropriate time to conduct their search.
WSJ reports:
Last month, following similar revelations from President Biden’s legal team, Mr. Pence’s lawyers disclosed they had discovered several documents with classification markings at his home and turned them over to authorities. They said the documents had been inadvertently packed up and transported and that Mr. Pence was unaware of their existence.”
A source who is close to the former vice president told the publication that Pence’s legal team believes that their earlier search of the Pence residence was exhaustive, and they do not expect any additional documents or materials to be discovered by the FBI.
