I think Donald Trump oftentimes forgets just how horrifying, vile, racist, bigoted, and downright absolutely hateful his own base of supporters really are — but rest assured, he was on the receiving end of a brutal reminder of that fact last night when he made a post on his Truth Social platform that earned him a racism and hatred-fueled lashing from his own MAGA crowd.
Trump took to his Twitter-replacement platform yesterday evening to spread the story of a Michigan police officer who was slain in the line of duty in one of the nation’s most crucial swing states. The former president’s post was almost undoubtedly a publicized attempt to remind voters that he hopes to once again be the leader of the party that’s known for its dedication and admiration of “law and order.”
However, the name alone of the slain law enforcement official led many of Donald’s own supporters to revolt against him — putting their truest and ugliest colors on full display.
“23-year-old Melvindale Police Officer Mohamed Said, a true American hero, was gunned down by a suspect he was pursuing last Saturday,” former President Trump wrote in his Truth Social post about the officer killed in the line of duty. “Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin described Officer Said as a ‘kind soul who proudly served the residents of Melvindale.'”

“The men and women of law enforcement deserve our respect for the selfless job they do every day serving our communities,” he continued in his post, concluding with a call on his followers to “Pray for Officer Said, his family, and all law enforcement!”
However, much of the comments section on his own, carefully tailored platform did not go according to plan:
“Michigan is mostly Muslims, infiltrated via CAIR by Obama,” @AlJahn wrote. “Their main tactic is to eliminate police. That’s all you need to know.”
@Mfnmkr said, “That’s a no go zone. Sharia law runs that place. Wake up sheep it’s spreading.”
“Sounds like Dearborn is infested with Muslims,” another user, @Sicaj526, wrote on Trump’s post.
“Dearborn is a world class s—hole!” wrote @Patriot_Dad_67. “The middle easterners have taken over the town and made it just like home, riddled with crime and killing.”
@Magadonian wrote, “He looks like a terrorist to me. It’s the name.”
@Marknunya99 said, “Sorry but Mohamad wants all Christians dead. No concern here.”
Ryan Deakins, @Ryandeakins, said simply, “U lost my vote.”
Your people are quite literally showing you who they are, Donald.
