It seems washed-up former First Lady Melania Trump is taking a page straight from her husband’s Grifter’s Handbook as she’s now hawking a customizable and, if I do say so myself, rather tacky gold Mother’s Day necklace on her website that will only set you back a cool $245.
Donald Trump’s third and current wife announced the unveiling of her nearly $250 Mother’s Day necklace on her X (formerly known as Twitter) account recently, three weeks ahead of Mother’s Day in the United States.
“Let’s honor and celebrate all mothers with love and gratitude,” Melania’s post reads, accompanying a link to her website and a photo of the gaudy, St. Patrick’s Day-esque gold pendant, with a quote on the image reading, “Her love, an exquisite jewel filled with immense gratitude.”

On the website, the piece of jewelry is described as a “customizable necklace designed by Melania Trump to honor all mothers.”
“Each necklace can be engraved with names, initials, or significant dates to create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry,” an info blurb on the official website reads. “Those who purchase Her Love & Gratitude can also receive a limited-edition digital collectible.”
The website goes on to inform readers and potential purchasers that the ex-first lady’s “signature is included on each necklace,” and explains that “The flower pendant measures 1 inch, includes a 16-18 inch adjustable chain, and is made in gold vermeil.”
In a statement over the weekend, the former model and current Trump wife said, “Being a mother is one of the most important roles in life. For this Mother’s Day, I have designed the ‘Her Love & Gratitude’ necklace to express immense gratitude and honor all mothers.”
Much to no one’s surprise, Melania’s new Mother’s Day grifting venture was met with a less-than-supportive response among social media users — likely in large part due to the fact that her husband has grifted the country into its proverbial grave over the last several months, hawking everything from weird NFTs to $400 gold Trump sneakers to $60 “God Bless America” Bibles, all in an effort to try to staunch some of the financial bleeding that’s resulted from his neverending legal troubles.
Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney and self-described “fixer” who’s about to hit the witness stand in the ex-president’s Manhattan Hush Money trial compared Melania’s schtick to the luxury brand Van Cleef and Arpels, “except not made of gold.”
Just like the @vancleefarpels frivole; except not made of gold. Melania Trump Is Now Selling $245 Mother’s Day Necklaces. https://t.co/F9fn51Nnay

Former federal prosecutor and vocal Trump critic Ron Filipkowski chimed in, sarcastically calling the jewelry a “bargain”:
Melania Trump is now selling a Mother’s Day necklace for the bargain price of just $245 that comes with her name engraved on it. Story …. https://t.co/xgutjJe2KD

And then, of course, there were plenty of critical comments on Melania’s original X post:
$250 for vermeil? Are you kidding me? And why is your signature so huge…its larger that the engravings for our loved ones? Heck, you really think highly of yourself if you think we’d want your signature to be larger than the names of our children. Grifters gonna grift I guess?

This is just so embarrassing that a former First Lady (even one of an awful low rated former POTUS) would stoop so low as to try to make money off of “love of mothers”
This is NOT NORMAL or classy at all!Promote a cause or charity… promote a “ghost book” but this is too low!

We never hear from Melania, not that I’m complaining, until it’s time for her to sell something for profit. Is she donating the revenue to a women’s shelter or charity? Of course not, she’s grifting off Mother’s Day, $245 dollar necklace, and it’s disgusting. 🤢

Hopefully, her husband isn’t depending on these necklaces to pay any bills because, frankly, I don’t think Melania is going to have too many takers.
