This is getting very, very weird.

No matter where he is, no matter what he’s doing, Donald Trump can’t seem to contain his love and admiration for one of the most truly heinous, horrifying, and murderous dictators this world has to offer.

The scandal-plagued and felony-convicted former president recently sat for an interview with far-right-wing streamer Adin Ross, where he proudly reflected on the face-to-face meeting he had with North Korea’s murderous tyrant, Kim Jong Un, while he was still in the US presidency, positively gushing over the horrifying dictator as “very smart” and “a real power.”

“I said, did you ever hear the song Rocket Man?” Trump said as he fondly recalled his meeting with Jong Un, speaking of him the way you’d expect a child to gush about their middle school crush. “And I actually played him the song Rocket Man.”

Trump claimed that his administration checked “closely” and determined that Kim Jong Un had “tremendous nuclear capability.”

“I got to know him very well, and I got along with him great,” Trump went on to rave. “He’s very strong. He’s the absolute leader. You know, a lot of people say, oh, maybe he’s not the leader. He’s the absolute. When he’s around, his people are standing up at attention,” at this point, you could almost hear the heady mix of jealousy and obsession in his nasal voice.

He went on to praise Jong Un as “very smart.”

“He’s a real power,” the ex-president said in the interview. “I think he’s upset that I’m not there [in the White House].”

He went on to claim that the North Korean dictator and bona fide murderer of his own citizens has already formed an opinion of sitting Vice President Kamala Harris, who is now going toe-to-toe with Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee following Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race.

“He doesn’t know her, but he forms opinions, and he doesn’t like her,” Trump spit of his opponent. “And he thought that Biden was a stupid man, a very stupid man.”

“He would say that,” Trump went on to add. “But I say the same thing. So at least we agree on something.”

Donald Trump became the first and only sitting United States president to come face-to-face with the North Korean dictator when he met Kim Jong Un in 2018.
