Trump Spokesman Lashes Out With Profanity After Harris Campaign Mocks Musk Interview

In yet another display of the Trump campaign’s notorious hostility, spokesman Steven Cheung unleashed a profane tirade against the Harris-Walz campaign on Monday. Cheung’s public outburst, posted on X, called Democratic staffers “f—ing cowards” for criticizing Trump’s softball interview with Elon Musk without attaching their names to the statements.

“All these statements, yet nobody ever puts their name on them,” Cheung fumed. “F—ing cowards.” His anger was sparked by a Harris-Walz campaign post on X, which bluntly labeled Trump’s bizarre interview with Musk as “whatever that was.”

The exchange between Trump and Musk—rife with technical glitches Musk conveniently blamed on a “massive” cyberattack —saw Trump rattling off his usual list of grievances, including a laughable dig at President Joe Biden’s supposed inability to “lift a chair.” The Harris-Walz campaign was quick to respond, pointing out that Trump’s campaign is a vanity project for “self-obsessed rich guys” like Musk who are more interested in serving themselves than the American people.

“Donald Trump’s extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature, not a glitch,” the Harris-Walz statement read, emphasizing that the chaotic event was just more of the same from a campaign that can’t even manage a livestream in 2024.

Musk’s endorsement of Trump came after a long history of flip-flopping on his political allegiances—he’d previously opposed Trump and reluctantly voted for Biden in 2020. Yet now, here he is, backing a man whose campaign can barely hold together a live conversation without it turning into a debacle, much like the ill-fated Twitter Space with DeSantis back in 2023.

And just to rub salt in the wound, the Harris campaign even took to Trump’s own Truth Social platform to remind him of how he had mocked DeSantis for a similar failure.
