Trump Rages Against Fox News After Poll Shows Harris Leading in Swing States: 'Rigged and Worthless'

Polls are showing Vice President Kamala Harris leading over Donald Trump in key battleground states. It isn’t a huge lead, but as you might guess, former President Donald Trump is having conniptions. He has to have at least one conniption daily so that he makes sure that his cronies, campaign staff, and gullible supporters are paying attention to him every second of every single day.

But it’s not a proper conniption unless he posts it on Truth Social, where he moans, growls, and rants 365 days a year. This time he fumed that the recent polls were “rigged and worthless.” The polls in question were conducted between August 23 and 26, showing Harris beating Trump by one point in Arizona and by two points in Nevada and Georgia. In North Carolina, she was down by just one point, a state that Trump won in 2016 and 2020.

Trump shored up his attack by posting an internal campaign memo that pointed out that Fox News’ polling hasn’t always been accurate, especially in 2020, when it underestimated Trump’s support in certain swing states.

Sure, Fox News’s polling was off in 2020 (but of course, there are a lot of things off about Fox News), but as Salon notes, President Joe Biden won three of the four states that its surveys showed him winning. But there’s still some cause for concern because even though Harris appears to be in the lead in several key states, the race is still tight and her leads fall within the margin of error.

Fox’s polling aligns with recent surveys, including Bloomberg, which released its swing state polling results earlier this week. Bloomberg found similar results, showing Harris leading by two points among registered voters in seven swing states. The survey found Harris leads by four points in Pennsylvania, eight points in Wisconsin, two points in North Carolina, three points in Michigan, four points in Nevada, two points in Georgia, and one point in Arizona.

Looks like Trump might be decorating the walls with ketchup again this weekend. I think he’ll be doing this frequently over the following months.
