MTG Melts Down On Social Media, Spreads Debunked Claim About Trump’s Safety; Gets Hit With Brutal Fact-Check

If at all possible, someone should hire a fact-checker to follow Marjorie Taylor Greene 24/7. Because if her mouth is open, or she’s on X (formerly Twitter) she’s usually getting things wrong. Of course, Ron Filipkowski fact-checks her from time to time, as he did Wednesday when she launched into a diatribe about “explosives” being found near the site of an upcoming Trump event.

She included a story from The Daily Mail about the so-called explosives, but as Filipkowski, the editor-in-chief of MeidasTouch.com tells us, there were no explosives.

MailOnline has since walked back its claim in a later report, noting there is “no validity” to a report that an explosive device was found at the site in Long Island where Trump is scheduled to give a rally Wednesday evening. But MTG is always quick to jump to conclusions and she obviously spotted this earlier post from MailOnline’s US edition.

Readers corrected MailOnline’s obvious goof and had more than a few responses to Filipkowski’s post.

@DenisonBarbs wrote “Gaslight, Gaslight and repeat. This is straight out of the MAGA Playbook.”

Well, it is out of the “MAGA playbook,” isn’t it? Greene and other MAGA crazies are turning Trump into some sort of martyr. Which he isn’t. But there’s a lot of hand-wringing going on among the Trumpertistas.

@ImKnotTheOne wondered if all this Sturm und Drang (Storm and Stress) was deliberate.

Welp, all I can say is “Who knows?”

@Utmb_Colorado made a salient point:

“Everything Trump / Vance / Team Sycophant / the MAGA-GOP say is a lie. Everything. VOTE and flush this toilet. They’ve been stinking up the country for over 8 years.”

MTG’s dumb rant about “explosives” has now been corrected but she’s been lamenting about her favorite manbaby Trump for several days.

Greene never seems to understand how ridiculous she appears to rational people. Naturally, this is because she isn’t rational, so it’s not something she would understand. She spreads wild QAnon conspiracy theories, something that CNN noted a few years back. She has voiced support for political violence and for the ex*cution of top Democrats. She’s even shared conspiracies that claim mass shootings were “false flags” and “staged.”

And of course, we all know about her stupid “Jewish space lasers,” remarks and is virulently anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric. But she’s blaming Democrats for their allegedly violent rhetoric.

Really, this woman is so ignorant she makes Lauren Boebert seem intelligent. If a fact-checker were to follow her around, even for just one day, I’m sure that person’s head would explode.
