Trump’s Week Is About To Get Worse As Ex-FBI Agent Claims There Are Tapes Of Ex-President’s Calls With Putin

Trump's won't be happy

Donald Trump is already embroiled in some sticky situations legally, but some new information has popped up that may turn things even stickier. A former FBI agent is suggesting that Vladimir Putin likely recorded his phone calls with the former president.

Asha Rangappa, formerly an FBI special agent, posted on social media earlier today that it is “almost certain” Russia has recordings of Trump’s phone conversations with Putin from across the years. Her post comes after a new book by Bob Woodward revealed that Trump has had phone conversations with Putin after leaving office, NJ.com reports.

“The thing no one is talking about with regard to Trump’s calls to Putin over the last several years is that not only do we not know what they talked about, it’s almost certain that Russia has recordings of them,” she said, adding that Russia likely has “leverage.”

I can say with full confidence that Trump is a moron. He has the IQ of a grapefruit, and he’s been caught in scores of sticky situations that should have landed him in jail yet here we are. What is it going to take for him to receive actual prison time?

Trump has faced a ton of scrutiny over his relationship with Putin over the years and he has even praised the Russian president numerous times. Kamala Harris’s campaign has, understandably, jumped on the latest reporting and Democratic Governor Tim Walz has Trump and those alleged phone calls in his crosshairs.

“There’s news reporting that Donald Trump has had as many as seven private phone calls with Vladimir Putin. I can guarantee you that Kamala Harris and I do not have dictators on speed dial,” Walz said earlier this week during a rally.
Woodward’s new book has also revealed that Trump sent the Russian president COVID-19 testing machines for his own use at the start of the pandemic. And on Wednesday, Bloomberg reported that the Kremlin confirmed that Trump did actually send the machines.
The book also reveals that Trump asked an aide to leave his office at Mar-a-Lago, so he could have a private call with Putin in the earlier part of this year. Woodward doesn’t name the aid, but that person said there have been several calls between Trump and Putin since Trump exited office. Allegedly there’s been perhaps as many as seven, Woodward’s book reveals but doesn’t detail what the two men discussed.
And Trump’s henchman, Jason Miller (who’s his senior adviser and a longtime aide to the former president) told Woodward that he hadn’t heard that Trump was having phone conversations with Putin, merely saying “I’d push back on that.” Miller did, however, add that he was “sure they’d know how to get in touch with each other.”
No matter how dim Trump may be, he somehow figures out how to do all this on the sly, but it looks like that’s about to change. Even if Steven Cheung, his communications director denies that the stories in Woodward’s books are true. He even had the audacity to say that none of the stories in Woodward’s book are true, saying they are “the work of a truly demented and deranged man who suffers from a debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
You may remember that Woodward, along with fellow Washington Post reporter Carl Bernstein, helped bring down the Nixon administration. Something that y’know, would be hard to do if you’re deranged. And of course, as you might expect, Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin is saying that reports about the calls are “not true.”
Despite Peskov’s denial, this all seems pretty damning. Will Trump skate right through this as well? All I can say is stay tuned.
