Weep not, me hearties, now that Donald Trump has won the 2024 presidential election because now we have Marjorie Taylor Greene to say something unbelievably stupid and briefly give us something to laugh at. Earlier Wednesday, Greene claimed Trump’s re-election was a “major victory” for those who deny election outcomes.
The Georgia Republican congresswoman told Real America’s Voice host Steve Gruber that she hopes Trump will sign her bill requiring those voting to provide a birth certificate or passport to prove citizenship before voting in federal elections, according to Raw Story.
“I’ll go further,” she told Gruber. “I’m one of those election deniers. I’m not a big fan of the voting machines. I love paper ballots.”
Then she went all gushy over her boyfriend, Brian Glenn for being an activist fighting for “election integrity” as a result of Trump’s losing the 2020 presidential race.

“And so I think this is a huge victory for everyone that were the early ones that stood up when it was the most unpopular thing to do,” she remarked. “I know Brian did that. I did that.”
Connecting Trump’s 2020 loss to his 2024 win is sketchy at best unless of course, all those election deniers are queueing up to support Kamala Harris and we all know THAT is not happening. So it’s laughable that she’d even suggest this. Unless I’m missing something I fail to see how election deniers had anything to do with Trump’s win.
“I objected to Joe Biden’s electoral college votes,” Greene added. “So I think it’s a major victory for everyone that did that.”
It’s a tight contest between Greene and her Republican colleague Lauren Boebert regarding the most embarrassing person in Congress. I think Greene has just squeezed ahead of Boebert with these comments.
She’s a hard-right Republican and it’s sad to see that she’s gaining more traction among her fellow Republicans. This is, indeed going to be a depressing time and I don’t know what the future holds. Great storm clouds of GOP hate and stupidity are fulminating now and we’ll need our raincoats and hip boots because the mierda is growing.
All I really know is that it doesn’t look good. The one thing I do know is we’ll be able to keep laughing at Greene. If you’re curious about her nonsense, you can watch the video here.
