Cheryl Hines is an actress best known for co-starring on Curb Your Enthusiasm as Cheryl David, the perpetually annoyed wife of protagonist Larry David. Anyone who watches that show knows what it’s like to see Cheryl dealing with an often-embarrassing husband, even before her 2014 marriage to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
There have been times when it has appeared that Hines has sought to distance herself from her often-controversial husband. In 2021, Hines insisted that guests at a birthday party the couple hosted be vaccinated, despite her husband’s status as one of the nation’s leading anti-vaxxers. When Kennedy began challenging Joe Biden in the Democratic primaries, stalwart Democrat Larry David was quoted as saying that he supported Hines as a friend, but was not supportive of Kennedy’s candidacy.
In August, once he dropped his independent bid and backed Donald Trump, Kennedy clarified that Hines disapproved of his endorsement of Trump. Following the scandal in which RFK had a “texting” affair with journalist Olivia Nuzzi, it was reported that Hines planned to write a tell-all book.

This week, Hines released a Black Friday promo for her body cream product line which, bizarrely, featured Hines standing in front of her husband, who was showering. Among the products was a candle called “MAHA,” which is the Trump/Kennedy slogan that stands for “Make America Healthy Again.”
“You can’t take a shower, I’m doing a video,” Hines says at one point during the promotion. The video included the caption “Oh Bobby.”
Also over the weekend, Kennedy posted a video of himself cooking a Thanksgiving turkey in a jar of what he described as beef tallow, with Hines next to him.
Video of RFK deep frying a turkey in beef tallow which is incredibly stupid. If even a tiny bit of that tallow overflows, the whole thing will go up like Hiroshima and take the house with it. Brilliant

Kennedy has promised to do some unconventional things, should he gain confirmation as HHS secretary, from removing flouride from the nation’s water supply to changing what vaccines are required. However, it’s not clear that he will be confirmed, and if he is, it’s not known whether HHS would have the power to make such changes.
Social media users had some entertaining reactions to the video:
This is one of the cringiest things I’ve ever seen…lost all respect for Cheryl Hines pic.twitter.com/0HOh8UFm4h

My position re: Cheryl Hines has been hands off as the unfortunate spouse of #RFKJr—but now that she’s decided to brazenly cash in on his horseshit, she’s fair game for all the brickbats that come her way. So typical for an initiate into Trump’s circle. https://t.co/yXLQpcy5pO

Okay, I just have to point this out. It’s obvious that the water is not on in the shower. There’s no steam, RFK Jr. pretends to scrub his hair twice, but there aren’t any suds in his hair. He’s got no acting skills, so he just looks like a prat. Cheryl Hines is an embarrassment. https://t.co/MmYZuBdNMi
