Donald Trump is furious after 60 Minutes got an Emmy nod for its interview with Kamala Harris. He says the interview was fake, unfair, and meant to help her before the election—and now he’s speaking out loud and clear.

The interview aired in October 2024, just before the election. Since then, Trump has claimed that the video was edited to make Harris look better than she really was. He says CBS changed her answers and made the interview seem more professional than it was. According to Trump, this was done on purpose to help Democrats during the election.

On Wednesday, Trump wrote a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform. He said the Emmy nomination was a joke and called it a “Fake News Puff Piece.” He also accused CBS of hiding the real version of the interview until after he had already been sworn in as president.

In Trump’s words, the interview was “unlawfully fixed, manipulated, and doctored.” He claims it was edited to make Harris seem bright and coherent—a dishonest move, he says, by CBS and its parent company, Paramount.

Trump also questioned how the show even got nominated. “Did 60 Minutes and its Corporate Parents apply to get an Emmy for an illegally falsified interview, or did other Fake Outlets nominate them for this dubious ‘honor’?” he asked.

This controversy comes at a bad time for CBS and Paramount. They are currently trying to complete a business deal with Skydance Media, which needs approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). However, the FCC is now controlled by Trump’s administration, and he could use this situation to apply pressure.

Trump’s lawsuit against CBS is still active. He filed it shortly after the interview aired, accusing the network of being dishonest and breaking the law. Since then, even more attention has been paid to the interview, especially after it got nominated for an Emmy. Some people say Trump’s outrage may have accidentally made the interview more popular.

The Emmy nomination is in the “Outstanding Edited Interview” category. Supporters of 60 Minutes say the editing was done professionally and fairly. They claim that Trump is just upset because the interview didn’t hurt Harris’s image.

But Trump keeps playing the victim. He says the media is always against him and uses this as another chance to complain. He also claims Americans don’t trust the press, but he only wants to control the news and silence people who don’t support him.
