The White House dropped a photo of Donald Trump with a group of young girls. And the internet exploded.

It came right after the administration pushed a new USCIS policy blocking foreign-born male athletes from competing in women’s sports. The rule falls under Trump’s executive order titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.”

While his team claimed the move was about protecting fairness in women’s athletics, the photo sparked an entirely different conversation. People weren’t talking about sports—they were talking about Trump and his history with underage girls.

In the image, Trump stands stiffly as several young girls look up at him.

The comment section was ruthless. Many brought up his past behavior and disturbing remarks about young women. The timing of the post, paired with the content, only made things worse.


The new USCIS rule is strict. It treats prior participation in women’s competitions by male-born athletes as a “negative factor” when deciding elite athlete visas. That includes O-1A and EB-1 cases.

“Men do not belong in women’s sports,” said USCIS spokesperson Matthew Tragesser in the Monday release. “USCIS is closing the loophole for foreign male athletes whose only chance at winning elite sports is to change their gender identity and leverage their biological advantages.”
