What’s happening with the United States Postal Service under Donald Trump’s presidency should alarm everyone, and should be condemned in a bipartisan fashion — but, as we’ve seen with Republicans, they are willing to let Trump go rogue and cross every line in our republic. Three critical states appear to be targeted with slowing the mail down just ahead of the election in November. Interestingly, the three states noted by CBS News’ Weijia Jiang are led by Democratic governors.
Jiang tweeted that Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Michigan have received letters from the Post Office to alert the states that “ballots may not be delivered in time to be counted in the Presidential election because their deadlines are too tight.”
The @USPS is sending letters to some states warning mail-in ballots may not be delivered in time to be counted in the Presidential election because their deadlines are too tight.
So far @CBSNews has confirmed Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Michigan—all critical swing states.

Former President Barack Obama tweeted that the Trump administration is “more concerned with suppressing the vote than suppressing a virus.”
Everyone depends on the USPS. Seniors for their Social Security, veterans for their prescriptions, small businesses trying to keep their doors open. They can’t be collateral damage for an administration more concerned with suppressing the vote than suppressing a virus.

Trump admitted on Thursday that he is blocking funding for the Post Office to stop mail-in voting.
“[Democrats] need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,” Trump said.
Internal documents revealed that machine removals are still occurring in Michigan, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Texas – and more are planned in the months ahead, according to Vice. Republicans don’t want Americans to vote, and they are literally trying to stop that from happening. If Trump is the best president ever, as he claims, then he should encourage voting.
Trump and first lady Melania Trump requested mail-in ballots for Florida’s primary election on Tuesday, so if it’s good enough for them, then it’s good enough for the rest of us amid the raging pandemic.
