Report Claims Trump Is Asking Others To Tweet Insults On His Behalf

He can't stop himself.

The behemoth social site Twitter banned Donald Trump in January, citing “the risk of further incitement of violence.” Then the Twitter-addicted former president continued tweeting using the government-owned @POTUS account, despite having his @realDonaldTrump account permanently suspended by Twitter earlier in the day. And now, the Daily Beast reports that Trump is upset that he can’t trash Rep. Liz  Cheney on Twitter after she voted to impeach him for inciting the deadly insurrection. So, Trump is suggesting insults that others in his orbit can tweet.

“Due to Twitter’s banning of the @realDonaldTrump account following the Capitol riot that Trump instigated, he has not been able to personally trash Cheney via his once widely read tweets,” the news outlet reported. “He has written out insults and observations, several of them about Cheney, but with no ability to tweet them himself, he has resorted to suggesting put-downs for others to use or post to their own Twitter, according to a person with direct knowledge of this new habit.”

Cheney issued a strongly worded statement when she announced that she planned to vote in favor of Trump’s second impeachment.

“On January 6, 2021, a violent mob attacked the United States Capitol to obstruct the process of our democracy and stop the counting of presidential electoral votes,” she said. “This insurrection caused injury, death and destruction in the most sacred space in our Republic.”

“Much more will become clear in coming days and weeks, but what we know now is enough,” she continued. “The President of the United States summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack. Everything that followed was his doing. None of this would have happened without the President. The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not. There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.”

And I can’t believe that Trump has turned this country so upside down that we’re defending Liz Cheney, but the woman is right, and she was brave since she knows what the former president’s supporters are capable of. Trump holds grudges for years, so I’m sure Cheney will continue hearing of his complaints as he whines that he won the election that he clearly lost.
