Georgia’s biggest embarrassment, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, has really been on one here lately — and it only seems to be getting worse.
Greene infamously made a complete and utter ass out of herself during President Biden’s second State of the Union address before Congress, where she took it upon herself to obnoxiously heckle and scream insults at the president throughout almost his entire speech. Her behavior was so abhorrent, in fact, that it not only earned her a public lashing from one of the SOTU guests who witnessed her nonsense in real-time, but also a public scolding from her own new BFF, newly-appointed Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy — something Marjorie really wasn’t very happy about.
Now, it seems she’s managed to make a complete fool out of herself during yesterday’s briefing of House members at the Capitol, according to reporting from The Hill.
It seems Greene is still extremely worked up over the whole Chinese spy balloon ordeal, and she personally confirmed that she “tore ‘em to pieces,” referencing intelligence officials who were involved in yesterday’s meeting, who she believes “made the wrong move” concerning the alleged intelligence collecting device that floated over US airspace in recent days.

Other members of Congress who were also in attendance at the briefing describe Greene’s unhinged rants as expletive-laden, with one anonymous attendee calling the GA congresswoman’s behavior “irrational.”
“When she got to ask questions she was yelling out saying ‘bullshit,’ and, you know, ‘I don’t believe you,'” the unnamed lawmaker confirmed. “Just screaming and yelling, irrational in my estimation.”
Democrats who were in on the briefing were, of course, far more receptive and mature about the situation, with NY Rep. Gregory Meeks saying, “Any question that was asked of them they answered, I think it confirms… some of what’s already out in the public domain that at no time was American sovereignty — and everybody’s upset about that — was violated, but America was safe.”
Greene herself has since personally spoken out and described the situation from her point of view:
I had to wait in line the whole time. I was I think the second to last person, and I chewed them out just like the American people would’ve. I tore ‘em to pieces. I said the president may be a Democrat but he’s still the president of the United States and they made him look like a fool and made him look weak the week before the State of the Union — I’ve said that publicly, too — by not shooting it down, and I said there was nothing I heard there today that gave me any confidence in what they did.”
Following the briefing, the controversial congresswoman categorized the whole ordeal as falling into two categories: “One doesn’t sound so nice, but it sounded like bullshit. The other one, is it was a bunch of excuses. They allowed it to go across the country and there was nothing they told us in there that gave us a good reason to think they made the right move.”
“As a matter of fact, they made the wrong move.”
I can’t even say that I’m surprised at this point.
