Former Trump-era Attorney General and head of the US Department of Justice Bill Barr has spoken out on his recent change of heart with regard to the Justice Departmentโs rapidly mounting investigation into the efforts of Donald Trump, his officials, and his insiders to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election โ and Barrโs newfound educated opinion undeniably spells big trouble for the corrupt, scandal-ridden former president.
Barr recently sat for an interview with CBS News correspondent Catherine Herridge, following the new subpoenas issued by the DOJ against former White House counsel Pat Cipollone and his deputy, Patrick Philbin.
Herridge matter-of-factly asked the former attorney general, โDo the new grand jury subpoenas suggest that the Justice Department is squarely focused on former President Trump?โ
Barr, equally matter-of-factly, responded, โI think it definitely is a significant event.โ

โIt changes my view of whatโs been going on,โ the former head of the DOJ went on to explain. โFrom my standpoint, it looked to me like the department was really focusing on the lower-level people. As you know, since the election theyโve been going after the people who went into the Capitol.โ
โAnd I didnโt think they were paying that much attention to the higher-ups and were sort-of leaving it to the congressional committee,โ Barr continued. โBut this suggests to me that theyโre taking a hard look at the group at the top, including the president and the people immediately around him who were involved in this.โ
In case this is hard for Donald Trump to grasp or understand โ this means that even Bill Barr now fully believes that the Department of Justice is coming for you. And frankly, itโs about damn time.
