In a MASSIVE development in the Manhattan criminal trial against scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump’s family company, the Trump Organization has officially been found GUILTY of fraud, following a long-running investigation and trial that saw longtime Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer and personal Trump confidante Allen Weisselberg turn state’s evidence on the company, and ultimately implicate the former president and his two eldest children, and deliver damning testimony in exchange for a lightened prison sentence for his personal role in the crimes.

According to reporting from The Daily Mail, Donald Trump’s family company was found guilty on all counts, following a trial in which the business faces a long series of various tax fraud charges.

Unfortunately, the guilty verdict only carried with it a measly fine of just $1.6 million, which is frankly a drop in the bucket for the massive, lucrative company. However, it also seriously and permanently marks the Trump Organization in the eyes of the law, as well as further stains Donald Trump’s own personal, already tattered reputation, and will likely hard Trump’s personal, professional, and political endeavors in the future.

Frankly, it serves as proof that Donald J. Trump is the conman we’ve always known him to be.

The Daily Mail reports:

Trump’s company was accused of carrying out a 15-year-long criminal scheme to defraud tax authorities.

The scheme included paying personal expenses like free rent and car leases for top executives including former Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg without reporting the income, and paying them bonuses as if they were independent contractors, prosecutors said.

Weisselberg testified for the prosecution but would not implicate Trump personally.”

Trump spent quite literally weeks railing against the investigation, the trial, and New York prosecutors as a whole, while recent reports have indicated that, in a last-ditch effort to save the former president, Trump’s legal team attempted to throw Weisselberg to the wolves and claim that all of the admissions that the former CFO has made were enacted by Weisselberg personally.

While the Trump Organization has officially been found guilty, Trump himself has not been criminally or legally implicated in the case. However, he does still face down a massive $250 million civil lawsuit on similar matters from New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is suing the company and Trump family members in her case.
