As the widely expected Manhattan indictment continues to loom over Donald Trump’s head, the disgraced former president is screaming the quiet part loud when it comes to the protests he’s desperately attempting to incite over his potential arrest that hasn’t even happened yet.
Over the weekend, Trump prematurely and rather dramatically took to his Truth Social account with an unhinged, all-caps rant, in which he “admitted” that he was going to be arrested on Tuesday of this week after he was formally criminally charged in the Manhattan DA’s ongoing investigation into the alleged 2016 hush money payments Donald ordered to be made through his then-personal attorney to adult film star and alleged affair partner, Stormy Daniels, just weeks before he would go on to win the 2016 presidential election.
As we’re all aware, that indictment and subsequent arrest have yet to actually happen and don’t appear to be on the horizon any time in the immediate future, as yesterday’s previously scheduled grand jury session was canceled for unspecified reasons, with little to no details on what to expect moving forward in the coming days.
But nevertheless, Trump appears to still be drumming up as much drama and outrage as he can possibly muster.

In yet another all-caps Truth Social post, Trump kicked off his Thursday morning with a nasty attack against Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, writing:
WHY WON’T BRAGG DROP THIS CASE? EVERYBODY SAYS THERE IS NO CRIME HERE. I DID NOTHING WRONG! IT WAS ALL MADE UP BY A CONVICTED NUT JOB WITH ZERO CREDIBILITY, WHO HAS BEEN DISPUTED BY HIGHLY RESPECTED PROFESSIONALS AT EVERY TURN. BRAGG REFUSES TO STOP DESPITE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY. HE IS A SOROS BACKED ANIMAL WHO JUST DOESN’T CARE ABOUT RIGHT OR WRONG NO MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE HURT. THIS IS NO LEGAL SYSTEM, THIS IS THE GESTAPO, THIS IS RUSSIA AND CHINA, BUT WORSE. DISGRACEFUL!”
But it got worse in a follow up, all-caps post when Trump turned to take aim at anyone who has dared to suggest that his supporters should remain peaceful during any protests over the investigation or his possible arrest:
EVERYBODY KNOWS I’M 100% INNOCENT, INCLUDING BRAGG, BUT HE DOESN’T CARE. HE IS JUST CARRYING OUT THE PLANS OF THE RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS. OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED, AS THEY TELL US TO BE PEACEFUL!”
If this feels eerily reminiscent of the January 6th Capitol attack to you, that’s because it is. Make no mistake, Donald Trump knows exactly what he’s doing right now, and his supporters know exactly what he means.
