Over the weekend, in the direct aftermath of his controversial Waco, TX, rally, Trump made the bold declaration to reports that he believed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has already dropped the “fake” infamous hush money case against him.
“I think they’ve already dropped the case. It’s a fake case. Some fake cases, they have absolutely nothing,” the scandal-ridden former president told a gaggle of supporters as he boarded his plane after his 2024 campaign rally.
Bombshell new reporting from the New York Times is proving Donald’s desperate theory to be the furthest thing from the truth.
Yesterday, the Times broke reporting, confirming that the former publisher of the National Enquirer appeared before the Manhattan Grand Jury for the second time in the infamous Manhattan hush money case, related to DA Bragg’s ongoing investigation into an alleged $130,000 payment made by Donald Trump’s then-personal attorney and self-described “fixer,” Michael Cohen, to adult film star and alleged former Trump affair partner Stormy Daniels at Trump’s behest just weeks before the 2016 presidential election, in an effort to buy Daniels’ silence regarding their alleged sexual affair, in fear that the scandal would harm his election chances.

David Pecker once served as the CEO of American Media, the parent company of the National Enquirer, and is said to have served as a “key player” in the infamous hush money incident, allegedly personally brokering the financial deal between Daniels and Cohen, along with the tabloid’s top editor at the time.
Now, NYT has confirmed that Pecker was seen at around 3:30 pm on Monday, leaving the building where the Manhattan grand jury continues to hear evidence in relation to the notorious Stormy Daniels hush money case.
The Times reports:
The witness, David Pecker, the former publisher of The National Enquirer, also testified in January. Since the grand jury was impaneled early this year by the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, it has heard from at least nine witnesses — including Mr. Pecker, who has now appeared twice — and is expected to vote on an indictment soon.It is unclear whether the grand jury took any action on Monday, but one of the people with knowledge of the matter said it had not voted on an indictment. Grand juries operate in secret, leaving the timing of indictments something of a mystery.”
The Manhattan hush money case is widely expected to produce a formal criminal indictment against ex-President Donald Trump at any point now, with even Trump himself making a spectacle over the ordeal when he prematurely and rather dramatically declared he was going to be arrested soon in a Truth Social post.
Alvin Bragg’s hush money case is just one of four ongoing, massive criminal investigations into the disgraced former president — alongside Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ investigation into apparent election crimes in Georgia, and the Justice Department’s ongoing Special Counsel investigations into the January 6th Capitol attack, coupled with Trump’s overall efforts to overthrow the 2020 presidential election, as well as their investigation into the infamous Mar-a-Lago stolen document scandal.
