In the weeks ahead of the bombshell Trump arraignment that recently took place in Manhattan, scandal-ridden, newly-indicted ex-President Donald Trump seemingly did all that he could to incite his supporters into what felt like January 6th Part II.
While video has shown that he was less than successful in inciting his supporters to the level of civil unrest and violence we believe he was hoping for — as multiple reports and footage have shown that not many people actually showed up in support of the former president — reporting coming out of the closed door courtroom has indicated that the judge on Trump’s case is still taking Donald’s violent rhetoric very seriously, and warned the ex-president that it’s to come to a stop. Period.
Trump’s legal team successfully won their bid to ban live cameras from the court proceedings. However, reporters were still allowed inside the courtroom, where a still shot was taken of the former president, and journalists were able to report on what they personally witnessed from the inside.
While millions of Americans were hopeful for a gag order against Donald Trump, New York Judge Juan Merchan declined to impose a gag against the ex-president for now, as Donald pleaded not guilty to a staggering 34 felony charges lodged against him. However, Merchan very clearly warned the former president that the violent rhetoric and incitement has to stop. Now.

CNN correspondent Kara Scannell was inside the courtroom during Trump’s arraignment proceedings and spoke to network anchor Anderson Cooper about what she saw and heard behind closed doors.
“He also was addressed by the judge, who addressed to him some of the threatening statements that he made,” Scannell explained. “That was something that prosecutors have raised. They have asked the judge not to impose any kind of gag order, but just to raise the potential issues of Trump threatening social media posts.”
Scannell said both counsel and Judge Merchan were provided with copies of Donald Trump’s deeply concerning social media posts surrounding the hush money investigation and indictment.
“The judge said that he was not going to impose any kind of gag order,” the CNN correspondent went on to recall. “He said he wouldn’t even if he was asked right now, but he did warn the former president, and also the prosecutors, to warn their witnesses to tamp down their rhetoric, to reduce what they’re saying about the case, and the judge warned both sides, but particularly speaking to former President Trump, not to make any statements that would incite any violence or threat against any officials.”
