The you-know-what has truly hit the proverbial fan for the sandal-ridden, one-term, twice-impeached former guy — after news broke, and he personally confirmed, that agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant raid at his Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago compound on Monday evening.
Things got worse still for Donald Trump today when Biden Administration Attorney General Merrick Garland finally broke his silence on the matter in an impromptu press conference, during which Garland confirmed that the US Department of Justice would be filing a motion to unseal the search warrant — a development that the ex-president was none too happy with.
However, as it stands, until the time does come that the search warrant is unsealed and made public, the details surrounding the warrant, the raid, and the driving force behind the whole ordeal remain murky, at best — such as what precisely it was that investigators were looking for, what they discovered in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort/home, the specific chain of events that led us to this point, and the big whopper: who tattled on him?
While we haven’t had solid confirmation that there was a so-called “mole” inside the Mar-a-Lago compound, it’s a relatively widely accepted notion at this point, even among the ex-president’s innermost circle and, reportedly, Trump himself. It only comes down to a matter of who.

And one of Trump’s former closest insiders has a damn interesting theory.
Micheal Cohen, former personal attorney and self-described “fixer” for Donald Trump, spoke with Business Insider, fresh on the heels of the bombshell development we saw from the attorney general, and didn’t mince his words when he said that he wouldn’t be a bit taken aback to learn that one of the former president’s own children, or perhaps even his son-in-law, turned out to be the FBI informant in this particular scandal.
“It’s definitely a member of [Trump’s] inner circle,” Cohen told Insider this afternoon, going on to add, “I would not be surprised to find out it is Jared or one of his children.”
“Who else would know about the existence of a safe and the specific contents kept inside?” the former close Trump confidant questioned.
Cohen previously spoke out last Monday, directly following the FBI search, and said, “Nothing good comes after the FBI raids your property — except my elation that it involved Trump.”
To be frank, I don’t think there’s any denying at this point that this is truly the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.
