Scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump has long been egging on his supporters through a never-ending onslaught of public attacks and borderline violent rhetoric against those who have dared to come after him for his crimes, and it’s beginning to come to a rather terrifying head as reports confirm that DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith was targeted in a “swatting” on Christmas Day.
NBC News broke reporting last night with confirmation from two law enforcement officials that Special Counsel Smith was the target of a “swatting” attack. On Christmas 2023, law enforcement sources confirmed that an individual called the police, claiming to be in the Smith home, and alleging that there was a violent attack. The ultimate goal of a “swatting” attack is to create mayhem within the police force, in the hopes that law enforcement will show up at the home of the “swatting” victim in a heightened state and essentially shoot first, ask questions later — possibly accidentally shooting the “swatting” target or a family member or loved one of the target, in this case, Jack Smith and his family.
NBC News reported, “Montgomery County Police dispatched units toward the home but were called off when the Deputy U.S. Marshals protecting Smith and his family told police that it was a false alarm and that everyone inside the home was safe.”
The person who made the fake 911 call claimed that Special Counsel Jack Smith had shot his wife.

This is far from the first time that Smith and his family have been targeted by assumed Trump supporters, almost undeniably as a result of the former president’s incessant public attacks.
Smith’s attorney, Cecil VanDevender, reportedly told D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals judges that his office has “been subject to multiple threats” and “intimidating communication” following the ex-president’s “inflammatory posts” about Jack Smith on Truth Social.
The news of the swatting attack against Smith comes hot on the heels of the recent revelation that Judge Tanya Chutkan was also the target of a very similar attack on Monday.
