Just when you thought things couldn’t possibly get any worse…

Chicago’s local Fox 32 has now interviewed a former classmate of Highland Park shooting suspect, 21-year-old Robert “Bobby” Crimo III — after Crimo allegedly opened fire at an Independence Day parade in Highland Park, Illinois, on Monday, where he shot and killed 7 people and injured upwards of 40 more — and in her description of a younger Bobby Crimo, the young woman exposed details more disturbing and unsettling than we were even prepared for.

FOX 32’s Corey McPherrin spoke to Gracie Sclamberg — the young lady who is now a rising Senior at the University of Michigan and attended school with Bobby Crimo from the age of five all the way through high school — who publicly described what the gunman was like during his childhood, and the warning signs she sees now in retrospect.

Sclamberg explained:

I have memories of him being really distant and cold if anybody did try to talk to him. Showing up late for class. Not listening to teachers. He had a dark mind and had been obsessed with guns and weaponry since I was really young. And would doodle weapons on his notebook and that was something a friend brought to my attention the other day that is a scary, maybe warning sign.”

Sclamberg said when she finally heard the news that her former classmate Bobby Crimo was the suspected gunman at Monday’s Fourth of July massacre, she admitted that she wasn’t even shocked.

“I am speaking for myself there, but I do not think it would even be any what of an assumption to say that a lot of other people had very similar responses…” Sclamberg stated, “that we were not surprised.”

The University of Michigan Senior and former Crimo classmate said that while she feels it’s important to learn all we can about the possible warning signs that were displayed by the suspected Highland Park shooter, she added that she truly hopes the main focus and attention in the aftermath of the mass murder is on the victims and their families during this tragic, catastrophic time.
