After being deplatformed on social media for inciting the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection, former President Donald Trump launched a blog.  That only lasted for just under a month, though, with the blog going the way of Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka, and Trump Shuttle. Washington Post columnist Karen Tumulty tweeted out a screen capture of the email Trump sent his supporters in a seemingly desperate plea to visit his blog, which, by the way, wasn’t getting much traffic. “Help elevate President Trump’s new platform!” the email read in part. And, Trump reportedly didn’t like being mocked over his blog and wasn’t getting much traffic.

Axios reporter Lachlan Markay tweeted a screen capture of a similar email promoting Trump’s blog.

It gets more embarrassing, though. That apparently didn’t work, and Trump was reportedly tired of being mocked over his blog, and his site wasn’t garnering much traffic, so he shut it down, according to what an advisor told The Washington Post.

“Trump rolled out the blog last month after being absent from social media since January, but his effort to regain some of the attention he received with his headline-grabbing tweets largely failed,” the outlet reports. “An adviser told The Washington Post’s Josh Dawsey that the former president wanted to open a new “platform” and didn’t like that this platform was being mocked and had so few readers. The individual spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk frankly about Trump’s plans.”

Well, Trump’s Twitter account was mocked daily, and he seemed oblivious to that. After Trump’s failed attempted coup, he started a blog to air his grievances while regurgitating the lies that led to the attack at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Trump has gone from being president to being a failed blogger. This is the man Republicans are still supporting, even to the detriment of our country. And he had to beg his supporters to visit his blog, and he still couldn’t get much traffic. Yeah, sure, what a great businessman.
