Well, that didn't last long.

Donald Trump addressed the nation last night, probably to soothe the stock market, but Dow futures plunged after the president’s bizarre speech failed to ease investors’ concerns. The White House then had to quickly walk back three false policy announcements Trump made during his nationally scripted televised address. In short, it was a shit show of epic proportions with the president looking visibly unnerved as if he had no idea what he was doing.

The divisive former frozen steak salesman tried to call for unity, and even on Twitter, he echoed that, saying that we have a “common enemy.”

Of course, Trump then kicked off his Thursday morning with an attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

OK, let’s look at that, you Adderall-addled fuckstick.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer responded with a stimulus plan of their own that is more expansive and includes paid sick leave, broadened unemployment insurance, free coronavirus testing, and treatment for those who cannot afford medical help, according to the Washington Examiner — a Trump-friendly outlet.

“In light of reports that the Trump Administration is considering new tax cuts for major corporations impacted by the coronavirus, Leader Schumer and I released a statement calling on the Administration to prioritize the health and safety of American workers and their families over corporate interests,” Pelosi said in a letter.

Trump feigns to be looking out for the little guy while funneling money into the pockets of wealthy Americans. The president circulated his partisan attacks to his massive following just after calling for unity and strength.
