After Trump’s Disastrous Interview With Hannity, POTUS Is Asked Again About His Priorities For A Second Term — His Answer Doesn’t Get Any Better

This doesn't make any sense.

When Donald Trump was asked last week by Fox News’ Sean Hannity to name his goals for a second term, the president failed to articulate what his priorities are. Trump has no plan unless his goal is to stay out of prison for the next four years. “One of the things that will be really great — the word experience is still good, I always say talent is more important than experience, I’ve always said that — but the word experience is a very important word, a very important meaning,” Trump told Hannity.

Trump also told the Fox News host, “A friend of mine said, ‘you have to be the most perfect person.’ Isn’t that true?” It was a disastrous interview, so much so that Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) lashed out at the network and Hannity. The interview displayed to the world a president with no plan, almost as if Trump doesn’t want to be re-elected — or at least, he doesn’t want to have to earn a win at the polls.

Well, Trump was given another chance to present the country with his plan, and of course, he failed again. Trump claimed that he hadn’t heard the criticism of his answer the last time Hannity asked him the question, but said there was still “more to do” in his next term, and again, the president did not name his policy goals.

“We’re going to make America great again. We’re doing things that nobody could have done,” Trump told Sinclair’s Eric Bolling, before launching into a rant about his first term.

Trump said, “We’ve got to bring back our manufacturing,” just before immediately claiming that he already had, saying he had “brought it back very big.”

“We’re doing it — whether it’s trade, whether it’s military — all made in the USA. It’s so important,” Trump said. “Made in the USA. … We’ve got to bring back our manufacturing, and I’ve brought it back very big.”

“But we have to make our own pharmaceutical products, our own drugs, prescription drugs, we have to make our own things. … So we have a lot of things we can do,” Trump continued. “We’ve done a lot, but we have a lot of things we can do.”

“Our country will be so strong at the end of our first term. It’s going to be great,” Trump added. “It would have been phenomenal. We got hit with the plague. At the end of the second term, it’s going to be at a level that nobody will have ever seen, the country.”

CNN’s Daniel Dale posted the transcript:

And this is bizarre.

Trump cannot lay out a plan for a potential second term, and the election is just months away, and yet he claims he’s a “perfect person.” He doesn’t want to have to earn the people’s votes. And why would he? After all, he’s never worked for anything in his life.
