Former Vice President and right-hand man to Donald Trump found himself effectively torched by Americans following his appearance on Tuesday’s edition of Hannity this week, during which he defended the United States’ support of Ukraine amid the country’s ongoing right against the Russian invasion and attacked, seemingly compared himself to former President Ronald Reagan historical moves to back anti-communist resistance movements in Europe ahead of the fall of the Soviet Union, and went so far as to claim that he once dressed down Russian dictator Vladimir Putin right to his face — a story that pretty much no one is buying.
“I really do believe that it’s absolutely essential that we embrace that Reagan doctrine,” Pence said in his appearance with Right-wing Fox talking head Sean Hannity before going on to claim, “I’ve stood closer than I am to you and looked Vladimir Putin right in the eye and told him things he didn’t want to hear.”
“And I gotta tell you, uh, um, If you think he’s gonna stop, if he captures Ukraine, uh, in re-establishing the old Soviet sphere of influence, you got another thing coming,” Pence went on to state.
Hannity interjected and asked Pence, with regard to Russian leader Putin, “You think he’d go to Poland?”
“I don’t know Poland, but I understand Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus,” Pence responded with a bit of a stutter. “These other countries are already beginning to either feel the fear or begin to fall in line. And so I think it’s important that we hold the line here.”

It’s worth noting here that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is a devout ally and supporter of Vladimir Putin. However, what truly grabbed the attention of Americans on social media was Pence’s claim about a face-to-face confrontation with the violent, unhinged Russian dictator.
