Angela Merkel's Reaction After Being Asked If Trump "Charmed" Her Is Priceless

German Chancellor Angela Merkel had the best reaction to being asked if Donald Trump “charmed” her by a reporter in the wake of claims made by former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell at the RNC Convention this week.

During his remarks on Wednesday night during what had already been a lie-filled embarrassment of a convention, Grenell insisted that he witnessed Trump woo Merkel.

“I’ve watched President Trump charm the Chancellor of Germany while insisting that Germany pay its NATO obligations,” Grenell said.

The problem is that Merkel’s disdain of Trump is well-documented.

In fact, Merkel blasted Trump’s foreign policy during a conference in which Vice President Mike Pence was met with silence as he tried to praise Trump. Merkel, by contrast, received applause.

And there are many photographs and videos of Merkel reacting with annoyance, frustration, and disgust while listening to Trump speak or while she is involved in discussion with him.

When asked about Grenell’s claim, Merkel once again made her feelings clear via her reaction.

Upon being asked if Trump “charmed” her, Merkel gave a look of confusion.

“He did what?” she asked.

After hearing the question again, Merkel said “I see” and laughed along with others in the room before responding that she does not comment on private discussions.

Merkel’s reaction makes it pretty clear that she was NOT “charmed” by Trump. Merkel is highly educated and knows how much of a complete jack-ass and tool Trump is. She’s repulsed by him and his atrocious behavior. He’s a laughingstock, as Merkel and the room of reporters hilariously demonstrated.
