As The Country Remains In Shambles, Trump Appears To Be Dropping Huge Hints Regarding Pardoning Roger Stone

Why am I not even surprised?

Between the coronavirus pandemic that’s still raging through our nation full steam, the rioting, protesting, and looting that’s been going strong for nearly a week from coast to coast demanding justice for police brutality, and the current administration we’re still stuck under the reign of — it’s safe to say that the United States of America is officially in shambles.

And Donald Trump, the man who’s supposed to be leading this country out of the dark, is spending his time on social media, delivering bombshell tweets about pardoning his buddy Roger Stone.

Stone, a former advisor to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, was convicted late last year after being found guilty of seven different charges hailing from former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

His charges include but are not limited to perjury, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice related to the probe.

It was originally recommended by the United States Department of Justice that Stone serve between 7 and 9 years in prison for his crimes. However, no one will soon forget Trump’s personal Attorney General, Bill Barr, infamously stepping in and giving Stone a lighter sentence by lessening the DOJ’s sentencing guidelines as Donald Trump raged at the Department of Justice for convicting his friend.

Today, Trump seemed to prove that he’s still holding a grudge over Stone’s conviction and subsequent prison time, and while the country all but burns to the ground, indicated that he’ll soon be misusing his presidential power once again by clearing his friend of all charges with a presidential pardon.

Responding to a tweet from right-wing activist Charlie Kirk about Stone serving prison time due to multiple felony convictions, Trump appeared to indicate that his old campaign advisor and long-time pal would never actually serve out his sentence.

“No. Roger was a victim of a corrupt and illegal Witch Hunt, one which will go down as the greatest political crime in history,” Trump wrote on Twitter in response to Kirk’s tweet. “He can sleep well at night!”

It’s impossible to say exactly what Donald meant with his social media post. All the various drugs and diseases have eaten his brain cells up to a point where comprehension of his word salad by your average everyday Joe is a feat to be reckoned with.

However, we know Donald Trump at this point and his hints are relatively easy to pick up on.

Seeing the current president proudly pardon a clearly guilty criminal would be little more than your average Monday at this point.
