Just when you think Donald Trump has stooped to the lowest low he could possibly stoop to, the man comes around with a hearty “Hold my beer!”
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered a deeply emotional address to members of the United States Congress where he spoke of the heinous heartbreak and loss his nation is currently undergoing as Russian dictatorial President Vladimir Putin continues to march forward with his invasion and attack against Ukraine. Zelenskyy powerfully called upon the US government to strengthen its support for his country and take stronger actions against the Russian government as Zelenskyy and his country’s people wade through this devastating war.
As President Zelenskyy — who has quite literally proven that he’s so devoted to his country and its people that he’s willing to lay down his own life — was concluding his emotionally charged speech to the American government, draft dodger and Captain Bone Spurs himself pushed out a lengthy, nasty, blowhard statement chock full of literal flat-out, tired, recycled lies about The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) — such as his overused and false claims that NATO was long “delinquent” and it was only him and him alone that made the global military organization “pay up” in exchange for the United States’ participation and protection.
“Nobody knew things would happen so rapidly, but NATO was poor and now it is rich, and all of the Fake News commentators that said Trump was tearing down NATO should be ashamed of themselves for telling lies,” the ex-president claimed in his statement.

He went on to claim that, in a direct contradiction to all his presidential predecessors, “I acted, and acted strongly. I said to them, ‘if you don’t pay up, no protection.’ They all paid up, and paid up quickly.”
Trump has regularly misrepresented and even been blatantly incorrect about numerous, painfully basic facts regarding NATO, once claiming that the global organization is “obsolete” and ultimately had to correct himself later and openly admit that did not know “much about NATO.”
As you’d expect, and as noted by a report on the matter from Business Insider, Trump’s claims about the alliance’s “delinquency” are also complete and utter lies.

NEW!
President Donald J. Trump:
“People forget so quickly, with the help of the Fake News, that it was me that got the 20 out of 28 delinquent NATO countries to start paying the money that they owed in order to rebuild a floundering NATO. Nobody knew things would happen so… pic.twitter.com/mnWPzTUovH
