Biden’s Visit To Kentucky: Where Were Mitch McConnell And Rand Paul?

Care to explain, boys?

Six states throughout the Southeastern and Midwest US were absolutely rocked this past weekend, after a series of freak, mid-December tornadoes ripped through Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

While the “natural” disaster (there’s nothing “natural” about F4 tornadoes in December, that’s just Global Warming that the Republicans are continually choosing to ignore and deny) left behind a path of destruction and despair through every single area it touched, the hardest hit of them all was the state of Kentucky.

In the wake of the destruction, Kentucky’s Democratic governor Andy Beshear explained that the death toll in his state was around 80 lives, and officials fully expect that number to exceed 100 and search as rescue efforts continue. Things got so bad in the town of Mayfield, KY, that a good samaritan even drove his truck to the obliterated town with his own grill, to pass out food and drinks to the townspeople affected by the tragedy.

Following the destruction, President Joe Biden was quick to head to Kentucky to survey the damage and offer the US government’s helping hand to the thousands of Kentuckians who had their lives turned upside down just two short weeks before Christmas.

But people want to know where the state’s Republican congressmen were while Biden was visiting.

While Kentucky’s GOP House Rep. Rand Paul sent a whiney, desperate letter to the president on the heels of the disaster, he was nowhere to be seen when President Biden was visiting the destruction-stricken state. Kentucky’s GOP Senator Mitch McConnell wasn’t around either.

And it’s left people wondering why they’re not showing their support for their own state with the US president is there lending a helping hand:

Unacceptable, boys. Absolutely unacceptable.
