Controversial Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is effectively getting his ass handed to him on Twitter, after a hilarious new report from Politico Playbook seemed to confirm that the judge chickened out of his dinner before dessert at Morton’s, a popular eatery in Washington, D.C. — slipping out the back door before the meal’s final course after angry protesters showed up at the restaurants front door and spotted the SCOTUS justice who played a large role in the overturning of Roe V. Wade last month.
The incident was initially reported by the ShutDown_DC Twitter account, which tweeted, “We hear Kavanaugh snuck out the back with his security detail. @mortons should be ashamed for welcoming a man who so clearly hates women.”

Politico’s Daniel Lippman ultimately confirmed the incident:
On Wednesday night, D.C. protesters targeting the conservative Supreme Court justices, who signed onto the Dobbs decision overturning the constitutional right to abortion, got a tip that Justice Brett Kavanaugh was dining at Morton’s downtown D.C. location. Protesters soon showed up out front, called the manager to tell him to kick Kavanaugh out.”

The report goes on to note that a source “familiar” with the incident claimed the Kavanaughs “did not hear or see the protesters and ate a full meal but left before dessert.”
The Morton’s eatery ultimately confirmed that the protesters showed up at the restaurant as well, writing in an outraged statement, “Honorable Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh and all of our other patrons at the restaurant were unduly harassed by unruly protestors while eating dinner at our Morton’s restaurant.”
“Politics, regardless of your side or views, should not trample the freedom at play of the right to congregate and eat dinner. There is a time and place for everything. Disturbing the dinner of all of our customers was an act of selfishness and void of decency.”
After the Roe V. Wade decision, Kavanaugh is more hated than ever by people in this country and, suffice it to say, the Supreme Court justice found no sympathy for his ruined dessert on social media:
Thoughts & prayers about Brett Kavanaugh having to leave out the back door before dessert.

You don’t get to say there’s no right to privacy and then complain about not getting privacy

Sucks not to be given a choice in certain matters.

that’s not a right. Brett Kavanaugh made it very clear that unless it’s explicitly defined in the constitution, it’s not a right. https://t.co/iZCyAKfVqq

For the record, the right to exit out the front door of a Morton’s Steakhouse without having to see people who don’t like you appears in the same provision of the Constitution that includes the Major Questions Doctrine and the Equal Dignity of the States.

The justice was denied his right to order overpriced tiramisu, assuming he even wanted dessert, what horror.

I feel like I’m saying this three times a week at this point, but the Supreme Court has been very clear that Americans are not entitled to avoid passing through sidewalk protests on the way to or from exercising rights of their own.

SCOTUS might want to consider reopening its front steps to protestors instead of fencing itself off from the country. People will exercise their 1st amendment rights wherever they can if the Court continues to block them out of the traditional spot. https://t.co/VhGLlvGar5
