Catholic Bishop Called Trump Out On Livestream Over His “Pro-Life” Claims: “He Is So Much Anti-Life Because He Is Only Concerned About Himself”

He is NOT here for Trump's garbage.

Donald Trump has attempted to build both of his presidential campaigns on some traditional Conservative “values”, such as tough immigration policies and the pro-life, anti-abortion movement.

While these policies are bad enough in and of themselves, they get about a thousand times worse when you’ve got the likes of Donald Trump backing them — who, frankly, doesn’t even actually believe in most of these “values” but rather is just looking to serve himself by any means necessary.

And one Catholic Bishop has had enough of it.

Recently, Lexington Diocese Bishop, Rev. John Stowe participated in a Facebook live panel from Pax Romana where panelists discussed everything from the Catholic response to Black Lives Matter protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death to the American parishes’ responses to COVID-19 — labeling the panel discussion as “Church after 2020.”

And Rev. Stowe didn’t miss the opportunity to call Trump out on one of his most hypocritical stances to date, his “pro-life” agenda.

Speaking on the Catholic church’s relationship to this year’s election, specifically the issues surrounding abortion, Stowe made it clear that Donald Trump was not the answer.

“For this president to call himself pro-life, and for anybody to back him because of claims of being pro-life, is almost willful ignorance,” he blistered. “He is so much anti-life because he is only concerned about himself, and he gives us every, every, every indication of that.”

Stowe backed up his response with a reference to Pope Francis. Stating, “He basically tells us, we can’t claim to be pro-life if we support the separation of children from their parents at the U.S. border, if we support exposing people at the border to COVID-19, because of the facilities that we’re in, if we support denying people who have [the] need to adequate healthcare access to that health care, if we keep people from getting the house or the education that they need, we cannot call ourselves pro-life.”

It was only about a week after Stowe’s live stream appearance that Donald Trump essentially proved him right when he publicly attacked Democratic frontrunner and former Vice President Joe Biden’s relationship to God — going on to further prove that Donald Trump is not a man of God, but simply a man for himself.

The fact of the matter is, true pro-life people don’t let brown children starve to death in cages. They don’t sic secret police on peacefully protesting soccer moms. They don’t let white police officers get away with murdering black men in the streets. And they certainly don’t say “it is what it is” to over 150,000 deaths in this country thanks to a pandemic that could’ve been largely prevented if the guy just gave a damn.
