In what seems to be becoming a bit of a trend these days, a recent report has now claimed that students from a New Jersey middle school came home to their parents in tears this week, after their teacher went on an unhinged, profane, and brutally racist 45-minute tirade in the classroom.
According to a disturbing report from NJ.com, an unnamed teacher at the Academy 1 Middle School was suspended from their position with pay following complaints from students about the educator’s alleged 45-minute profanity-laced and race-fueled rant that was reportedly ignited by a classroom conflict between a Black student and white student.
In an 18-minute recording of the teacher’s tirade, they can be heard fuming, “What are your chances in life of doing something with yourself other than sitting home waiting for your welfare check?”
“Your neighborhood is filled with violence,” the educator continued to scream at the students. “Who is perpetrating the violence? Black on Black. The whites aren’t coming here shooting you all down, are they? Are they? How many white people came and shot you today?”

Interim superintendent of Jersey City schools, Norma Fernandez, responded to the racist incident and said that she was “appalled” by the teacher’s unhinged remarks to middle school students.
“Parts of the message may have been well intended,” Fernandez said. “However, the language that was used and the references that were made did not really portray a positive message.”
“Had I been one of those students, I would have been insulted by the comments that were made,” the superintendent went on to add. “Forget what the message may have been, it was just lost with all the things that were wrong about it.”
Two different parents spoke with reporters and said that their children came home from school in tears following the incident. Both parents also claimed that additional recordings of the teacher’s rant featured the middle school educator threatening to slam a student who shut the classroom door too loudly.
“You’ve already stereotyped these kids,” one parent stated. “They still have a future. How are they just destined to collect welfare?”
