Effective this morning, CNN has now revealed the identity of the Capitol rioter who allegedly received a call from inside the Trump White House on January 6th.

Late last week, we reported on the explosive news from Denver Riggleman — an ex-military intelligence officer and former Republican congressman from Virginia who formerly served as the senior technical adviser for the January 6 Committee — who reportedly revealed in a bombshell interview with 60 Minutes that “the White House switchboard had connected to a rioter’s phone while it’s (The January 6th Capitol insurrection) happening.”

“You get a real ‘a-ha’ moment when you see that the White House switchboard had connected to a rioter’s phone while it’s happening,” Riggleman said in the teaser for the interview. “That’s a big, pretty big ‘a-ha’ moment.”

“I only know one end of that call,” Riggleman added. “I don’t know the White House end, which I believe is more important. But the thing is the American people need to know that there are link connections that need to be explored more.”

Now, CNN is out with breaking reporting that exposes the identity of the individual behind that alleged call. However, the January 6th House Select Committee has already spoken out and claimed that the phone call isn’t the smoking gun that it seems like it would be.

According to CNN, the questionable Trump White House phone call was placed to one Anton Lunyk — a 26-year-old Brooklyn-based Trump supporter. CNN reports that Lunyk has already left the Capitol building on that fateful day, by the time he received the call from the White House.

CNN goes on to report that the phone call only lasted a mere 9 seconds, and it remains unclear as to who actually placed the call from inside the Executive Mansion. Lunyk has reportedly personally spoken with January 6th investigators and claims to not even remember getting the seconds-long phone call and told investigators that he does not personally know anyone who would have been inside the Trump White House.

Spokesman for the January 6th House Select Committee, Tim Mulvey, gave an interview with CNN on the topic of the phone call and the new revelation of the Lunyk’s identity, and heavily downplayed the significance of it all.

“In his role on the Select Committee staff, Mr. Riggleman had limited knowledge of the committee’s investigation,” Mulvey said in the interview with CNN on the bombshell topic. “He departed from the staff in April prior to our hearings and much of our most important investigative work.”

I don’t know about you… But that almost seems just a little bit fishy to me.
