There was some shocking news on Thursday from the world of MAGA-adjacent gossip.

According to the Daily Mail, Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr. and the mother of Don Jr.’s five children, has been “secretly dating” golf legend Tiger Woods. The two, who live in Palm Beach, Florida, have been dating since Thanksgiving and are “quickly becoming golf’s new power couple.” Woods’s two children and Vanessa’s oldest daughter, Kai—herself a competitive golfer—also attend the same school.

“They just love hanging out, having dinner and schmoozing together. They’re sticking close to home, have decided not to make it a thing and go out in public. Not just yet anyway,” the Mail’s source said.

Don Jr. split with Vanessa near the start of his father’s first term, and the two were officially divorced in 2018.  Woods was married to Elin Nordegren, the mother of his two children, until a series of scandals led to their divorce in 2010.

Woods was also in the news this week for suffering a ruptured Achilles injury, which appears likely to leave him out of action for a significant period.

Throughout his career, Woods has typically stayed silent about political issues. However, he has played golf with Trump in the past and accepted the Presidential Medal of Freedom from him during his first term.

“I’ve known Donald for a number of years. We’ve played golf together. We’ve had dinner together. I’ve known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency,” Woods said in a 2018 interview.

Since Trump’s return to office, Woods has met with Trump at the White House twice. The meetings were for business reasons, related to the planned merger between the PGA Tour and the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tour. At the second meeting, Woods wore his Medal of Freedom to the White House, and Trump encouraged those present to start a “Tiger, Tiger” chant. Woods also stuck around for a Black History Month celebration.

“We’re going to get this game going in the right direction. It’s been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years and the fans want all of us to play together, all the top players playing together, and we’re going to make that happen,” Woods said at the meeting.
