Donald Trump Jr.’s current girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, apparently sat down to give her testimony to the House Select Committee that is currently investigating the January 6th Capitol attack, as well as Donald Trump, his family, and other Republicans’ role in the riot. But according to new reporting from CBS News’ Robert Costa, Kim’s interview didn’t end up lasting very long after all, as her attorneys reportedly cut the testimony short due to their alleged concerns over the panel’s “ground rules.”
Taking to his Twitter and citing four inside sources with apparent knowledge on the matter, Costa reported, “A tense confrontation between the House select committee and Kimberly Guilfoyle unfolded privately on Friday morning.”

“When Guilfoyle appeared on Friday’s virtual meeting, she and her lawyers grew immediately concerned when they saw who else was on the call, including lawmakers on the committee such as Rep. Adam Schiff of California and Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, both Democrats,” the CBS News journalist reported. “Guilfoyle spoke up and asked why members — and not just lawyers and committee staff — were on the call, three of the people said. ‘Kim balked and said this isn’t my understanding,’ one of the people said. A second person described her as ‘outraged.'”

“This is not my understanding,” Guilfoyle told the committee, and then said she would cease to continue the conversation until her lawyers had further discussions with the committee about the format, the people said.
A spokesman for the committee declined to comment.

Reporting on the new development, CNN notes that Guilfoyle has previously been busted for the large role she played in fundraising for the Trump campaign and more specifically the “Stop the Steal” rally that took place on January 6th just hours before the infamous Capitol attack, which many believe played a big part in leading to the insurrection. Kimberly also personally spoke at the rally, stating to the crowd, “We will not allow the liberals and the Democrats to steal our dream or steal our elections.”
