Donald Trump’s eldest son effectively got his ass handed to him by social media users after he claimed during his recently CPAC speech that he could essentially get away with smoking crack, if only he was a member of the Democratic party. That is operating under the assumption, of course, that he doesn’t already.
Jr.’s father, the disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president, Donald Trump, has long been accused by several former insiders of having a pretty serious drug problem, mainly to stimulants, according to the various allegations. His eldest son and namesake, Donald Trump Jr. has seemingly followed in his father’s footsteps in this regard, as numerous Americans, analysts, and social media users have questioned the former First Son’s mental state and sobriety on several occasions over the years.
Now, at his recent speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) he pretty much stuck his own foot completely in his own mouth, when he claimed that he could flat out get away with smoking crack, if only he were a Democrat.
Jr.’s claim likely hails from one of the Right’s newest bullshit talking points, in which they swear up and down that President Biden and his administration are handing out free crack pipes like lollipops. This notion has, of course, already been thoroughly debunked and is bred solely from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Harm Reduction Program Grant program. Harm reduction “is a set of practical strategies and ideas aimed at reducing negative consequences associated with drug use,” according to the National Harm Reduction Coalition.
But when has a fact-check ever mattered to the Right, amirite?
