Donald Trump Finally Breaks His Silence On Kevin McCarthy Speaker Debacle After He Seemed To Let The GOP Tool Squirm For A While

I think Trump is still a little bitter.

The whole Speaker of the House ordeal has gone over about as well as you’d expect from a bunch of halfwitted Republicans — and by that, I mean it’s been every bit the humiliating debacle we knew it would be, and then some.

Seriously, it was already expected to be such a complete and utter sh*tshow, that House Dems brought their popcorn — literally:

Yesterday was frankly chaotic, at best, and today hasn’t shaped up to be much better as the House sits at a stalemate following Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s failure to secure all 3 of the votes he needed to actually fulfill his House Speaker dreams. This, of course, leaves the US House of Representatives speakerless, until that stalemate comes to an end.

It seems things have devolved to a point that ole Donnie Trump felt like he finally had to throw his 2 cents in on the matter.

Taking to his Truth Social platform today, Trump made this declaration:

Some really good conversations took place last night, and it’s now time for all of our GREAT Republican House Members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY, & WATCH CRAZY NANCY PELOSI FLY BACK HOME TO A VERY BROKEN CALIFORNIA,THE ONLY SPEAKER IN U.S. HISTORY TO HAVE LOST THE ‘HOUSE’ TWICE!”

The “statement” was as on-brand for Trump as anything. However, people weren’t sure it was actually going to come at all.

McCarthy and the scandal-ridden ex-president have boasted a somewhat tumultuous relationship over the years, only made worse after Kevin was caught on tape participating in the plot to oust Donald Trump following the Capitol riot. Trump, of course, immediately grew sour with the Congressman.

Just yesterday, it seemed Donald’s stance on the House Speakership was still up in the air, when he told an NBC reporter, “We’ll see what happens,” when asked whether or not he would be throwing his support behind McCarthy.

But it seems finally gave up on the feud, perhaps when he started to consider the alternatives — including what an ass the GOP has made of itself thus far in the process.

“REPUBLICANS, DO NOT TURN A GREAT TRIUMPH INTO A GIANT & EMBARRASSING DEFEAT,” Trump wrote in a Truth. “IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE, YOU DESERVE IT. Kevin McCarthy will do a good job, and maybe even a GREAT JOB – JUST WATCH!”

In a subsequent post, he went on to add, “TAKE THE VICTORY AND RUN!!!”
