Donald Trump Is Embroiled In Yet Another NDA Scandal As New Report Claims His Campaign Is Being Forced To Pay A Former Staffer More Than $350K In Legal Fees

According to a bombshell new report, ex-President Donald Trump is once again embroiled in yet another messy NDA scandal, after his campaign organization was officially, legally ordered to pay a former staffer more than $350,000 for various legal fees and expenses, after they attempted to enforce an “unenforceable” nondisclosure agreement (NDA) against the former employee, per a court order that was entered this month in a nonpublic arbitration case.

The former Trump staffer’s legal team publicly released the March 10th order this week, and it serves as yet another brutal blow against Donald Trump and his campaign’s shady attempts to punish any former staffer or employee who dares to publicly criticize or take legal action against former President Trump with the consequences of an NDA. A report from Buzzfeed News on the matter reveals an arbitrator determined that even though Alva Johnson’s lawsuit against Donald Trump was unsuccessful, the Trump campaign could not legally attempt to invoke a nondisclosure agreement as punishment for the legal action that was not legally sound, to begin with.

Johnson has accused the now ex-president of trying to forcibly kiss her, in addition to claims she made regarding pay discriminations. Ultimately, Johnson’s case against Trump was dismissed by a judge.

Buzzfeed writes regarding Trump, “When he ran for president in 2016, many campaign workers were reportedly directed to sign nondisclosure agreements that broadly barred them from sharing information about the campaign or saying negative things about Trump, his family, and his businesses; the agreement specified that the campaign could press complaints about alleged violations of the agreement in arbitration.”

In two prior, similar cases, a judge and an arbitrator determined that the key sections of the NDAs were not constitutionally enforceable, as the verbiage in those sections was far too vague and ill-defined. arbitrator Victor Bianchini, a retired federal magistrate from California, determined in Johnson’s case that those decisions were persuasive and ultimately dismissed the Trump campaign’s official complaint against the former employee last year.

Attorneys for Johnson filed a motion seeking payment of legal fees and expenses from the Trump campaign, from their position as the winning party in the case. Bianchini agreed to this request and ultimately ordered that the ex-president’s campaign must pay $303,285. In addition to Johnson’s legal expenses, Bianchini also ordered that the Trump campaign is to pay the cost of the arbitrator itself, which totals somewhere around $50,000.

In a statement, Johnson’s attorney Hassan Zavareei said, “The Trump campaign has tried to use its unenforceable NDA to unlawfully silence its critics. We are pleased that the arbitrator has held that these efforts cannot stand and ordered the campaign to compensate our client for the hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees that the campaign forced her to incur.”

Sucks to suck, Donnie.
