FL’s Ron DeSantis Just Revealed One Of His Biggest Regrets As Governor And Donald Trump Is Going To Hate It

Boy, Donnie won't like this one bit.

Earlier this week, Florida’s very own version of Donald Trump, GOP Governor Ron DeSantis, revealed what he considers one of his biggest regrets with regard to his leadership position in the southern Republican state — and the GOP’s golden child Trump isn’t going to like the governor’s answer one bit.

Recently we reported that the one-term, twice-impeached ex-president is already rather bitter with his Florida ally, for not saying the “magic words” and promising not to run for the White House in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. After Trump gets wind of this, I’d be willing to bet their friendship will effectively be over.

On Thursday of this week, DeSantis made an appearance on “Ruthless,” a Conservative podcast, where he revealed that there’s one decision, in particular, that he made as the governor of Florida that left him regretful. Apparently, DeSantis deeply wishes he had been “much louder” in his opposition to Donald Trump’s stay-at-home order when the COVID-19 pandemic first began to gain serious steam.

“I never thought in February, early March that [COVID-19] would lead to locking down the country,” DeSantis told the podcast host. “I just didn’t. I didn’t think that was on the radar.”

Again, DeSantis’ revelation comes on the heels of reporting from the New York Times claiming Trump has been regularly telling his aides that “he isn’t getting the deference” he wants to see from the Florida governor and one of his closest GOP allies throughout his term in the White House as we rapidly approach the next presidential election.

In addition to Trump’s angst over DeSantis’ failure to fully denounce a potential presidential run, the former president has recently made it his mission to center himself as the kingpin of the COVID-19 vaccines, recently becoming increasingly vocal in his support for the shot, much to the dismay of Conservatives across the country. However, DeSantis, on the other hand, absolutely balked at the mere idea of revealing to Fox host Maria Bartiromo whether or not he’s received his COVID-19 booster.

“So I’ve done whatever I did. The normal shot, and that at the end of the day is people’s individual decisions about what they want to do,” DeSantis told the Fox host back in December. Since then, Trump has taken a thinly-veiled jab at Ron when he publicly attacked “gutless” politicians who have refused to be transparent with their booster status, like DeSantis, in a recent statement.

Trump himself recently admitted that he’s had all his COVID-19 vaccines, including his booster, during the final leg of his “History Tour” with Bil O’Reilly, earning himself a round of boos from his audience.
