FL’s Ron DeSantis Launches Unhinged, Fuming Attack Against “Woke Disney” After They Paused All Political Donations In The Wake Of “Don’t Say Gay” Bill

Could you kindly shut up, sir?

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis is on an anti-gay warpath here lately with his newly ignited “Don’t Say Gay” bill, that would effectively ban the mere discussion of homosexuality in Florida schools. To say the very least, companies and people are about as disgusted as it gets with the Trump-style GOP Florida official.

Eventually, it was discovered that the Disney company has forked over numerous donations to many of the various Republicans that were involved in the creation of the bigoted bill. Following that revelation, as you’d expect, the supposedly kid-friendly company found themselves embroiled in the criticism and public outcry, ultimately leading them to effectively pause all political donations amid the uproar.

Disney chief executive, Bob Chapek, posted a statement online and pushed an email out to company employees announcing the change, and noting that the company was wrong in their silence as Republicans passed the heinous bill.

And wouldn’t you know, this really hurt Ron’s feelings.

Following Disney’s pause on political donations, the Florida Governor released a fuming statement attacking the company for their move:

Woke Disney is now echoing Democratic propaganda and falling for the corporate media’s phony hysteria over a Florida bill that sensibly prohibits K-3rd graders from school being indoctrinated with transgenderism and R-rated lessons about sexuality.”

In his statement yesterday afternoon, Chapek wrote:

You needed me to be a stronger ally in the fight for equal rights and I let you down. I am sorry.

I missed the mark in this case but am an ally you can count on — and I will be an outspoken champion for the protections, visibility, and opportunity you deserve.

Our employees see the power of this great company as an opportunity to do good. I agree. Yes, we need to use our influence to promote that good by telling inclusive stories, but also by standing up for the rights of all.”

No one’s on your side, Ron. Take your bigotry somewhere else.
