Yesterday, Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg turned himself in to the authorities after he was officially indicted on 15 different charges in connection to the investigation into the ex-president’s company. Thus far, Weisselberg has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him and shows no signs of flipping on the man he’s worked under for literal decades, despite how hard prosecutors have worked to try to make that happen. However, according to one former prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, there may be more to the Weisselberg indictments to indicate that Trump’s own children might soon be going down too.

Rebecca Roiphe spoke with MSNBC host Chris Jansing today and turned his focus to the possible future of the Trump children, Ivanka, Don Jr., and Eric — all of whom have been deeply involved in their father’s company over the years. According to Roiphe, the Weisselberg indictments heavily hint that Ivanka could soon face similar charges thanks to compensation she reportedly received as a consultant for the company while she was simultaneously employed as a Trump Organization executive.

“Late last year the DA, his office, listed reports on tax write-offs on millions of dollars in consulting fees paid to an LLC set up for the three adult children, but those adult children were not mentioned in the indictment. Does that mean they’re in the clear? What do you read into that?” Jansing asked the former Manhattan prosecutor.

“I don’t think it necessarily means they’re in the clear,” Roiphe responded. “There are certainly some allegations in the indictment that look very much like the public reporting on the consulting fees paid to Ivanka Trump.”

“What the district attorney is planning to do with the [inaudible] in public — it’s a little bit hard to tell,” she added. “But we can see at least they were included in similar allegations and were included in this charging document. It may be those are going to come or might not be. It’s hard to tell. I think standing alone, that wouldn’t be enough to bring an indictment against Ivanka Trump. But if there are other criminal activities she’s been involved with, I don’t see why the DAs office wouldn’t charge her for that.”

The Trump family as a whole has undoubtedly become accustomed to getting away with their various schemes and crimes. However, it looks as though their time as free American citizens with too much power may finally be coming to a close.
