Alyssa Farah Griffin, the former White House Communications Director, took the opportunity to use her platform, The View, to revise her initial statements about working with Sarah Huckabee Sanders, asserting that she had previously described her as a “kind” individual until she watched Sanders attack Kamala Harris when she spoke at Trump’s rally.

“I watched this clip, and my jaw dropped. I worked with Sarah. The table will gasp when I say this. She was privately one of the kindest, sweetest people like a Sara Haines doesn’t have a bad thing to say about anyone.”

The fact that Griffin thought that Huckabee Sanders was a kind person is a stretch. Anyone remembering Sanders as press secretary will recall how she would gaslight the press from the podium. She also killed the amount of press briefings held by the Trump administration. She was never kind, but the way that Griffin changed her tune about her kindness, seems to have caught her up with how the rest of us always thought about Sanders.

“It speaks to the toxic environment of Trump, to fit in. You have to say wild things and knock people down and be a bully.”

She then used JD Vance as an example of him privately believing one thing and then publicly say something else to fit in with Trump’s circle. But she continued on the issue as it relates to women.

“To demonize and shame people on the most personal private decision is so anti-family. Anti-women. My husband was texting, ‘Can you believe she said this?’ It is the easiest way to lose people’s support.”

Sara Spector, a political and legal pundit with 63.6k followers tweeted her response.

Morning Joe Scarborough ripped into Sanders too.

Alyssa Farah Griffinā€™s sudden change of tune on Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a perfect example of how twisted things can get in Trump world. Griffin used to gush about how “kind” Sanders wasā€”until she watched her go after Kamala Harris for not having kids.

Now, the gloves are off. Sanders’ low blow sparked a firestorm, with people like Joe Scarborough and Sara Spector tearing into her for being cruel and outdated. It seems Griffinā€™s finally catching on: in Trumpā€™s orbit, kindness is optional, but throwing shade is mandatory.
