Former Trump aide Anthony Scaramucci made an appearance on CNN, where he spoke on the New Hampshire primary exit poll and painted a rather grim picture for his former boss — while Donald may have won the battle in the Granite State, he’s losing the war.
Scaramucci — who served as a campaign advisor on Trump’s 2016 ticket and later served in the Trump White House for just 11 short days — discussed the new exit poll with CNN hosts Poppy Harlow and Phil Mattingly and pointed out that, while Trump did secure a small win in the New Hampshire primary election, the former aide sees absolutely no evidence to show that Donald Trump has secured any new additional voters that didn’t already vote for him in 2020. Trump lost to Joe Biden in 2020 by 7 million votes.
“I would submit to everybody listening, who is going to vote for Trump this time in 2024 that didn’t vote for him in 2020?” Scaramucci told CNN. “Has he expanded his popularity? I would submit he hasn’t; those exit polls show you he hasn’t.”
“Of course, if you get a rock slide on the legal proceedings, he is in a lot of trouble,” the former Trump aide went on to add. “He knows that, he is not stupid, he knows he lost the election, he knows he is under the gun here as it relates to this campaign.”

“He knows that the mosaic of the country, this beautiful, colorful mosaic of the United States, has changed from 2016 to 2020 and now 2024,” Scaramucci explained. “It’s a different country from a demographic perspective. He is going to lose. He will win the nomination, but I think it will set up the Republican Party for a renewal in 2028.”
Long story short, Trump may be reveling in his “victory” right now, but his success is a strawman, at best. There’s no one new coming in to vote for him, and we’ve already seen what’s going to happen with the amount of voters he’s got in his pocket.
