With the bombshell news that the Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg was officially indicted on 15 different charges stemming from the investigation into the ex-president’s business, former executives of the organization sat down for an interview with Bloomberg and broke their silence on the legal chaos that’s currently going down within their former workplace.

CBS News reported: “The indictment alleged the company and Weisselberg orchestrated a scheme to funnel more than $1.7 million in untaxed ‘indirect employee compensation’ to the longtime executive beginning in 2005. Prosecutors said the Trump Organization failed to properly report the payments to tax authorities.”

One former executive, Barbara Res, said, “This is it. I think that it’s going to destroy the Trump empire.”

And Res isn’t the only one who thinks so. Former executive vice president Louise Sunshine echoed Res’ thoughts, telling Bloomberg reporter Max Abelson, “It’s the beginning of the end of the brand,” before sardonically adding, “Donald [Trump] will always survive — even if everybody else around him drops dead.”

As a general rule, former executives of the company ultimately praised Allen Weisselberg and all seemed to agree that his loyalty to the ex-president was his ultimate downfall in the end.

Abe Wallach, the senior executive vice president for acquisitions and finance at the Trump Organization up until 2002, said, “He [Weisselberg] stayed too close to the fire and he got burned. And that’s true of lots of people. He was petrified of Donald. Allen’s an accountant, a competent guy.”

Sunshine says Weisselberg was originally placed in the company by Trump’s father, Fred Trump, explaining, “His father put him there to check up on Donald. I’ll tell you, Fred Trump would come out of his grave for this.”

Res goes on to add, “He called Donald ‘Mr. Trump,’ which none of us did. On a personal level, it’s too long ago that I stopped feeling sorry for Allen.”

Wallach wrapped up the topic of Donald Trump, explaining, “I thought he had the luck of the gods” and “always landed on his feet,” before adding, “I don’t know anymore.”
