According to a new report from The Daily Mail, former Vice President to Donald Trump, Mike Pence, is finally set to make his very first public appearance since the disastrous demise of the administration he worked for.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, the former VP has been laying pretty low since leaving the White House back in January on the heels of the violent Capitol insurrection that was incited by his boss and carried out by his rabid supporters — even reportedly turning down an appearance at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Reports have claimed that since leaving the White House, Pence has been focused on his work with the Heritage Foundation and Young America’s Foundation. Thus far, the conservative politician hasn’t made any official announcements or indications regarding his political future, or whether or not he will take another crack at office.

However, the event he’s reportedly chosen to make his debut could be very telling of his future plans.

The report claims that Pence’s very first public appearance as a private citizen will take place in South Carolina where he is set to speak to a conservative Christian nonprofit that plays a crucial role in presidential nominations — serving as a keynote during a dinner hosted by the Palmetto Family Council, according to a Pence aide who spoke with the Associated Press.

According to reports, the aide offered up the details on the condition of anonymity because they didn’t have permission to discuss the plans publicly.

The Palmetto Family is known for lobbying what they call “biblical values,” are staunch opponents of LGBTQ+ rights, and even pushed through a ban on almost all abortions in the state of South Carolina that is now facing challenges in court.

The state of South Carolina is the first in the South to hold its presidential primaries and it’s fairly customary for presidential candidates from both sides of the field to spend upwards of a year in the state ahead of the primaries in an effort to garner support and votes.

The Pence aide said the former VP’s speech is slated to focus on traditional conservative “values” as well as what Pence sees as the accomplishments of the Trump administration.

President of the Palmetto Family, Dave Wilson, told the AP that Pence will be speaking to around 450-600 guests at the April 29th event at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Wilson called Pence the “prime person” to address the guests, thanks to the “level of faith” he embodied while in office.

“Vice President Mike Pence … is very reflective of the ideas, policies and direction that we at Palmetto Family want to see in South Carolina: bringing faith to the forefront and growing the next generation of conservative leaders for our state,” Wilson stated.

Mike Pence’s official political plans are still unknown.
